{"id":871,"date":"2023-06-14T06:53:47","date_gmt":"2023-06-14T04:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/codevision.net.pl\/?p=871"},"modified":"2023-06-14T06:53:48","modified_gmt":"2023-06-14T04:53:48","slug":"east-or-west-vacations-are-the-best","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/codevision.net.pl\/index.php\/2023\/06\/14\/east-or-west-vacations-are-the-best\/","title":{"rendered":"East or west, vacations are the best"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>First of all, I&#8217;d like to warn you that this is not a technical post \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past I thought that more than few days per year spent on holidys is a waste of time &#8211; too many important things to be done in work, home and so on. I couldn&#8217;t afford to rest any longer.<br>Renovation of the house, dealing with overdue matters, at best 2-3 days of rest and return to work &#8211; a typical vacation at that time.<br>In retrospect, I see that this was not an approach conducive to productivity and professional development. It led to doing everyday work along the line of least resistance, without much enthusiasm or joy.<br>Fortunately, my wife convinced me that life is also about experiencing, having fun and relaxing \ud83d\ude42<br>Trips for a week&#8217;s vacation brought a breath of fresh air, new strength for work and a much more positive approach to both: life and work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it was only after the first two-week trip that I understood why psychologists recommend at least 10 days of vacation. I felt like a newborn! A slower pace of life, calming down, clearing the mind and freeing yourself from everyday problems. Interestingly, returning to work also looks different: more ideas, willingness to develop and lots of enthusiasm. Excitement when waiting for another such a great time gives strength and motivation for further work.
